We built MotionMate to be private by design. This policy explains what we collect, why, and what we deliberately do not do.
Your footage never leaves your computer
Every AI tool in MotionMate — subtitles, vocal separation, face tracking, auto-masking — runs entirely on your own machine. Your video, audio, and project files are never uploaded to us or any third party. There is no cloud processing of your media.
What we collect
To sell and license the product we process: (a) Account — your name and email, and a bcrypt-hashed password; if you sign in with Google, your Google email, name, and account id. (b) License & device — a hardware fingerprint of your device and license/activation records, used to enforce the single-device limit. (c) Security logs — IP addresses and login, activation, and audit logs, to protect accounts and prevent abuse. (d) Abuse prevention — a normalized email and a card fingerprint (card brand and last four digits only, received from Lemon Squeezy) to detect fraud. (e) Payment reference — your Lemon Squeezy customer and order identifiers. (f) Support — if you email or use a contact form, the message and contact details you provide.
What we do NOT collect
We never receive or store your full card number — Lemon Squeezy, our Merchant of Record, handles all payment and card data. We do not collect your media, do not track your editing, and the website uses no advertising or tracking cookies. A single functional token is stored in your browser to keep you signed in.
Why we use it
We use your data only to: create and secure your account, deliver and validate your license, enforce the one-device limit, process purchases and refunds via Lemon Squeezy, provide support, and prevent fraud and abuse.
Who we share it with
We share the minimum necessary with: Lemon Squeezy (payments, as Merchant of Record), Google (only if you choose Google sign-in), and our hosting provider (secure server storage). We do not sell your data.
Data retention & security
We keep account and license data for as long as your account exists or as needed for legitimate business and legal purposes. Passwords are hashed (bcrypt), sessions use signed tokens (JWT), and data is stored on a secured server.
Your rights (GDPR & similar)
You may request access to, correction of, deletion of, or a copy of your personal data, and object to or restrict certain processing. Email us and we will respond within a reasonable time. You may also complain to your local data protection authority.
Children
MotionMate is not directed to children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
