MotionMateでできるすべて

Requirements

MotionMate is a Windows-only panel for After Effects 2022 or newer. Everything — AI subtitles, vocal separation, tracking, masking — runs locally; your footage never leaves your computer.

1. Windows 10 or 11.
2. After Effects 2022 (23.x) or newer.
3. About 2 GB of free disk for the bundled models and binaries.

ヒントNo internet is needed after activation — the models ship inside the installer.

Install the panel

The installer copies MotionMate into your After Effects extensions folder and enables unsigned extensions for your user.

1. Download the installer from your dashboard and run it.
2. Windows may show SmartScreen ("unknown publisher"). Click More info → Run anyway — the installer is unsigned, this is expected.
3. Finish the installer, then restart After Effects.
4. Open the panel: Window → Extensions → MotionMate.

ヒントIf the panel does not appear, fully quit and reopen AE, then check Window → Extensions again.

Activate your license

One purchase = one active device at a time, moveable between your own machines. After activation MotionMate has a 14-day offline grace.

1. Open the panel → Settings → License (Manage).
2. Paste your MMATE-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX key and click Activate.
3. Pro tools unlock immediately. To move to another PC, deactivate here first, then activate on the new one.

Subtitles

Transcribes a clip with whisper.cpp and builds styled caption layers — sentence or word-by-word (karaoke) with curated fonts, glow, stroke and shadow.

1. Select the audio/video layer to transcribe.
2. Pick a language (or Auto) and a Whisper model — bigger = more accurate but heavier on RAM.
3. Choose Sentence or Word (karaoke) mode and a caption style.
4. Click Transcribe. First run downloads the model with a progress bar; after that it is instant.

ヒントOn low-RAM machines pick a smaller model — the panel warns you if a model is too big to load.

Vocal Separation

Splits a track into Vocals + Music locally with Demucs. Imports either or both stems as new audio layers and mutes the original.

1. Select the audio layer.
2. Click Separate — a progress bar runs (up to a minute).
3. Choose Vocals, Music, or Both, then Import.

ヒントImport "Music" only to build a clean instrumental bed under a voiceover.

Face Track

Tracks a face with YuNet and drives a null (or head-lock via Anchor Point) so you can pin text and effects to it. Outlier rejection keeps the track from jumping to the wrong face.

1. Select the footage layer.
2. Pick Head lock (stabilize) or Tracker null, and a sample FPS.
3. Click Track — a progress bar runs extraction then detection.
4. Parent your text/graphics to the created null.

ヒントHead lock adds a Motion Tile so the stabilized edges fill instead of showing black.

Auto Mask

Click a subject and MobileSAM cuts a mask, applied as an alpha track matte. Zoom/pan the frame for precise clicks.

1. Select a footage layer and Load frame.
2. Click the subject (foreground). Shift-click to remove areas (background).
3. The mask overlays live. Click Apply to AE for a matte layer over the original.

ヒントv1 masks a single frame; wheel-zoom in for tight edges before applying.

Face Cut

Person-specific scene cutting: pick one person's face and MotionMate finds every scene they appear in (SFace) and cuts them into a new comp.

1. Select the source footage layer and Load a frame.
2. Click the person's face → the target embedding is captured.
3. Set the match sensitivity, choose New or Active comp, and click Find & Cut.

ヒントLower the threshold if it misses appearances; raise it if it grabs the wrong person.

Beat Detection

Analyses music with a local DSP pipeline (spectral-flux onsets, tempo lock) and places beat markers you can cut and animate to.

1. Select the audio layer and Analyze.
2. Choose Beats (tempo-locked) or Onsets (all), tune sensitivity.
3. Place markers, or add a beat animation (scale pump, shake, etc.).

ヒントUse the markers as cut points in Auto Cut for a beat-synced edit.

Comp Splitter · Smooth Slow-Mo · Speed Ramp

Split turns each selected layer into its own precomp. Smooth Slow-Mo builds the precomp → Twixtor → precomp → Time Remap chain. Speed Ramp adds a CapCut-style ramp in place — it never lengthens the clip.

1. Split: select layers → Split into comps.
2. Smooth Slow-Mo: select footage → Create (uses Twixtor if installed).
3. Speed Ramp: pick Slow-Fast-Slow / Ramp Up / Ramp Down + strength → Apply. Motion blur is enabled automatically.

ヒントSpeed Ramp retimes within the clip's existing length.

Auto Cut

Fills beat-marker (or fixed-interval) slots from a pool of clips with scene detection, a shuffle-bag deck (no back-to-back repeats), a quality/faces scene filter, and cover-fit centering.

1. Have a comp with beat markers and a pool of footage layers.
2. Choose clip-start mode (Scenes / Continue / Beginning / Random / Middle) and order.
3. Click Build — clips are placed to the beat in a new or the active comp.

ヒントScene mode + "With people" skips empty/black shots and shots without faces.

Effects library

25+ native effects plus real plugin variants. Turn on "Use real plugins" to route Shake → Sapphire S_Shake, Blurmo Zoom → S_BlurMoCurves, whips → BCC Directional Blur — with a native fallback. A "Detected plugins" row shows what MotionMate can resolve.

1. Select the clip(s).
2. Optionally enable "Use real plugins (Sapphire/BCC)".
3. Pick an apply target (Precompose / On layer) and click an effect card.
4. Fit to frame scales selected clips to cover the frame — the first step of every vertical edit.

ヒントBlurmo Zoom animates Sapphire's Z Dist 1.0 → 0.7 with easy ease; aim its Center at the subject.

Transitions (whip / slide / zoom / twirl / blur)

Applies a matched transition at every cut. Each has a Transform (native) and a Blurmo (Sapphire) variant. Twirl rotates the outgoing clip one way and starts the next mirrored, with a Motion Tile filling the exposed corners.

1. Select two or more clips arranged on the timeline.
2. Pick a style and a variant (Transform / Blurmo) and an intensity.
3. Click Apply — the transition is built on both sides of each cut.

ヒントBlurmo uses Sapphire; if it is not installed the Transform variant runs automatically.

Graph Editor

AE Keyframes applies bezier ease to selected keys with 29 presets and a smoothness analyzer. Twixtor Speed edits the real Speed% graph and builds speed ramps. Import Flow .flow curves.

1. Select keyframes (AE mode) or a layer with a Twixtor Speed property.
2. Pick a preset or drag the bezier handles.
3. Apply — or use the Ramp Builder in Twixtor mode.

ヒントCustom and imported .flow curves live under the Custom category.

Smart Motion Blur

Detects moving layers with motion blur off and enables it in one tap — layer + comp switches, with an optional Pixel/Force Motion Blur for footage that has none.

1. Open the tool — it reports how many moving layers can use blur.
2. Choose Selected or All moving, set the comp shutter angle.
3. Apply. Enable Force Motion Blur for real footage without native motion.

Looks (color & overlays)

Procedural color grades on an adjustment layer, plus custom .cube LUTs, and overlays: grain, vignette (native or BCC), light leak, dust. Bring your own overlay assets too.

1. Color tab: pick a grade + strength, or add a .cube LUT.
2. Overlays tab: pick grain / vignette / light leak / dust with opacity, intensity and blend mode.

ヒントToggle "Use BCC" on the vignette for a richer falloff when Boris BCC is installed.

Text presets

Animated titles, lower-thirds and edit text — fade, pop, slide, blur-in, typewriter, name-reveal, watermark. Override font, size, fill, glow and stroke.

1. Pick a category and a preset.
2. Choose Create new (type your text) or Apply to selected.
3. Tweak the style overrides, then Apply.

Proxy (Organize)

Generates a low-res proxy for heavy footage next to the source and attaches it with AE's native proxy. Editing is smooth on the proxy; the final render uses the original.

1. Select heavy clips in Organize → Proxy.
2. Pick 360 / 540 / 720p and Generate proxy.
3. Remove proxies with one click when you are done.

Organize

Project tidy-up: label colors, auto-label by type, shy, clear solos, rename patterns, sort to bins, and a two-step remove-unused (counts first, confirms, then removes only footage).

Audio Pack (Vocals)

Clean up a selected audio layer: match loudness to -14 LUFS, denoise, or duck music under a voice track. Processed WAV is imported over the original (muted, kept). Works on precomp audio too.

1. Select an audio layer (precomp audio is rendered automatically).
2. Match loudness, or set a denoise amount, or select two layers and Duck music under voice.

SFX

A built-in royalty-free starter pack (whooshes, impacts, risers, UI) plus your own SFX folders. Preview in the panel, then drop a sound onto the timeline at the playhead.

1. Pick a category, preview a sound, and Drop it at the playhead.
2. Add SFX folder to browse and drop from your own library.

Image Paste · New Layer · Favorites

Image Paste imports a clipboard image at the playhead (cover-fit, centered). New Layer quickly creates Adjustment / Null / Solid / Camera / Light. Favorites keeps your most-used effects, looks and text one click away.

Settings

Language, shared defaults, paths & installed-model status, re-download models, a Storage cleaner for temp files (models/license kept), version and license management.

ヒントStorage → Clear temporary files removes only MotionMate's temp work files; your models, license and settings are untouched.

SmartScreen blocks the installer

The installer is unsigned, so Windows shows "unknown publisher". Click More info → Run anyway. Vendored tools are also unsigned and may trigger a false-positive in some antivirus — allow the MotionMate folder if needed.

Panel does not show up

Fully quit After Effects and reopen it, then Window → Extensions → MotionMate. Make sure you are on AE 2022+ (older versions are not supported).

Tools are locked

Pro tools require an active license. Open Settings → License and activate your key. If you moved PCs, deactivate on the old machine — a single-device license moves automatically.

Plugin effects not applying

The Effects tool shows a "Detected plugins" row. If Sapphire/BCC show ✕, install them (or use the native variant). Blurmo needs Sapphire; whips upgrade to BCC Directional Blur when present.

Updates

The panel notifies you when a new version is available and never installs anything on its own. Grab the new installer from your dashboard; your license carries over.
